The Grand Waldo in Macao reopens in 2015
The casino operator Galaxy Entertainment is planning to open the Grand Waldo complex next to their flagship establishment, the Galaxy Macau Hotel.
The hotel will be opened next year, after it has been completely renovated.
Vice president of the company, Francis LuiYiu Tung, has announced this news in an interview with the newspaper Macao Daily News.
The Grand Waldo complex had been closed since last year, after the Galaxy entertainment group had acquired it for $419 million.
On the occasion of its reopening it will be remodelled to be attractive to a more family oriented clientele.
There will be a large theatre available that can accommodate 1,000 seats for musical performances and magic shows.
The hotel will also feature a conference centre, 3,600 hotel rooms and the shopping mall with 200 stores.
On the other side, there was no specific mention about what would happen to the gaming hall which previously had 38 game tables.
