Proposed Dutch law underway

Since 2012, the Netherlands has been making plans to regulate its online gambling market, as we discussed in this article.
The country’s government even introduced a bill in May 2013, as mentioned in this article.
Although the measure has not yet gone into effect, it was recently approved by the Council of Ministers.
Nevertheless, the text must still be submitted to the Council of State before being passed on to the House of Representatives for final approval.
This approval is expected for the second quarter of 2014.
If this schedule is respected, the Dutch sports betting, poker, and online casino market should be open to competition beginning in 2015 as planned.
