Illegal casinos in China
Last January, an explosion in an underground casino left 18 dead and several injured in the village of Laoshan in the province of Guizhou, in China.
The tragic fact put a spotlight on the presence of many illegal gambling rooms managed by the local underground.
Moreover, the recent incident seemed to be an accident.
One talks frequently about settling accounts between rival organizations.
Currently, casinos remain strictly forbidden in China except in Macao where you have to have a passport to go there.
Because visas are not delivered easily and the Chinese are very fond of gambling, underground casinos managed by triads are found everywhere.
This situation leads to cheating, punitive expeditions to punish those in debt and settle accounts like in the case of the village of Laoshan.
