Facebook authorises gambling advertising
10/17/11
Although Facebook has been strongly opposed to any form of online and offline gambling advertising since its launch, it may soon change its policy.
Increased competition from other social networks could probably explain such a change.
In fact, many websites such as Google +, which has recently signed an agreement with Zynga Poker, have more flexible regulations.
In order not to miss on a valuable financial windfall, Facebook decided to allow advertising of online and offline gambling, but only in regulated markets.
Furthermore, operators will have to own a valid license in the target country and promote only legal products and services.
