Atari will start developing casino games

Founded in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell, Atari is a pioneer in the video game industry.
Indeed, it is thanks to the success of the arcade game Pong on the Atari 2600 and the Atari ST personal computer, that the game had such an entertainment impact on all four corners of the earth.
However, after the successive failures of the Atari 7800, Lynx, and Jaguar system, the company faced even greater difficulties.
In 2001 they were bought by the French company Infogrames Entertainment.
The company filed for bankruptcy on January 21st, 2013.
Today, the group embarks onto the new sector of online casino games.
Indeed, the developer has just announced that they have signed an agreement with the company FlowPlay to launch its platform Atari Casino.
Through this new partnership Atari will have access to technical infrastructure, systems analysis, payment and monetisation expertise, but also advertising on the Internet.
With the awareness of the brand-name Atari, the aim is to offer users a unique online gaming experience on Facebook, Android, and iOS mobile devices.
Planned for next year, Atari Casino will offer casino games which were inspired by famous brand-names, such as Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, or Missile Command.
