A $13 million renovation plan for the Borgata
The industry of land-based casinos in Atlantic City that is currently in a crisis has to go through an investment phase in order to attract new players.
This is what the leaders of the market-leading Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa believe.
In fact, they have just announced details of a renovation plan for $13 million, which will be carried out over several months.
The improvements include the refurbishment of the games room, the reception, the suites, the Toccare Spa and the Borgata Buffet restaurant.
Maximising their leading position
Since their opening in 2003, the Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa has been very successful in Atlantic City.
According to Tom Ballance, the President and Chief Operating Officer, this popularity is due to the commitment of the entire team to the ongoing development and exceeding customer expectations.
However, it is also important to keep the complex in the best possible condition, in order to strengthen their leading position as a resort in the east of the United States.
The details of the refurbishments
From this December, the Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa in Atlantic City will be renovated and refurbished for $13 million.
$2 million will be used for the Borgata Buffet restaurant where the floor and ceiling will be completely changed.
For $1 million the Spa Toccare will experience a transformation of their lounge and a complete overhaul of the training facilities.
In the next year it will be the reception, and for $4 million it will be reshaped with new carpet, wall coverings, curtains and light installations to give it a more modern and Italian touch.
Also in 2015, $6 million will be used to refurbish all the suites in the hotel.
