The Resorts World Las Vegas gets preliminary approval
The Malaysian conglomerate Genting Bhd has received preliminary approval to obtain a license from the state of Nevada.
They will now be able to build a huge entertainment complex called Resorts World, which we previously talked about in this article.
With a budget of 4 billion dollars, the establishment will be inspired by Asian culture and is going to be built in the coming months at the north end of the famous Strip.
Before obtaining the final licence
It was during the last hearing of the Gaming Commission of the State of Nevada that the group Genting Bhd received preliminary approval for a license.
The conglomerate will still have to wait for the final document before they can open their hotel-casino. However, this should only bea formality.
The chairman of the regulatory authority, Peter Bernhard, said that the company had the required financial stability and probity to open its entertainment complex in Las Vegas.
Many gaming establishments around the world
With a capital of 40 billion dollars, the group Genting Bhd boasts d’an impressive number of casinos in Asia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Their new leisure complex in Nevada will be the second in the United States, the other one being the Resorts World in New York which opened in late 2011.
Great ambitions for the future casino
The CEO of the group, KT Lim, has announced that the purpose of Genting Bhd’s Resorts World in Las Vegas is to complete their range of existing properties. They are going to design a new and innovative entertainment destination on the famous Las Vegas strip.
The services of the hotel will meet both the requirements of high-end customers, as well as tourists travelling on a budget.
The ambition is to provide players a new reason to travel to Las Vegas, and many excuses to go back. .
Many attractions
The construction of the Resorts World in Las Vegas will take several years, and will be divided into at least two or three distinct phases.
The first phase will include the construction of a hotel with 3,000 rooms, a theatre with 4,000 seats, a huge garden, and of course a casino with 100,000 m² offering 3,500 slot machines and game tables.
Other attractions are also provided, such as an observation point at the top of a 205 m tower, and a theme park.
