This success of Las Vegas Sands in Asia

The famous American casino operator Las Vegas Sands is especially famous for the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas, and we have regularly talked about them and several of their projects, mentioned in this post, and this article.
Even though the company is based in the United States, most of its revenue is generated through its Asian facilities in Singapore and Macau.
The results of the operator continue to grow in the former Portuguese colony of Macau, which was evident after the numbers for the first quarter of 2014 had been released.
Indeed, the turnover of the casinos in this region increased by 21.4% compared to the same period of last year, and reached 40.01 billion dollars.
The results in Singapore are much less impressive, as the gross gaming revenues for VIP players decreased by 29%, and the general market revenues fell by 3% in the first three months of 2014.
This did not prevent Singapore still to remain very profitable for the Las Vegas Sands group.
Despite a drop of the gaming activities, net revenues of its establishment in the Marina Bay still increased by 5.1%.
In comparison, the casinos of the group in Las Vegas reported a revenue decline of 7% compared to the same period of the year 2013.
