Taiwan wants to legalize casinos on the archipelago of Matsu

The impressive success of casinos of Macao, mentioned recently in this edition, seems to be giving ideas to neighboring countries.
In fact, how could you not be jealous of revenue growth of 18.6% in the middle of an international financial crisis?
We frequently give you news about Asia in our columns whether it be on a project favoring the legalization of land-based casinos like in Japan or on an announcement of the construction of a large leisure complex such as that in Vietnam.
This time, Taiwan interests us.
In fact, the country is now working on a measure to authorize brick and mortar casinos on the archipelago of Matsu.
The Parliament is currently looking into a Casino Management Act, which could allow for the creation of the first establishments starting in 2019.
