Gambling arriving on long-haul flights?

Nowadays, we can indulge in gambling everywhere, thanks to the possibilities offered by online casinos.
Nevertheless, there is still one place where it is not possible to gamble – the sky.
For this reason, two French companies (AirJet Designs and Designescence) have recently developed a plan to bring casinos to long-haul flights.
As international airspace is not subject to the gambling legislation of any country, this should benefit both players and airlines.
Indeed, the players will be able to win huge progressive jackpots, while airlines will not have to be subject to any special taxation.
Unfortunately, the project of bringing casinos to the air is quite complicated to carry out.
The aircrafts featuring casino facilities will not – for example – be able to travel to certain destinations, as the United States, where any flight in which there is the possibility to gamble is prohibited.
When queried on the project, British Airways managers affirmed that the airline, at the moment, is not interested.
Even businessman Sheldon Adelson, owner of the Las Vegas Sands group, which had planned to transform an A380 into a casino, decided to abandon the project due to the complexity of its implementation.
