A drug that causes addiction to gambling and sex

Compulsive gambling is a very serious issue.

Indeed, the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) will have to compensate a person called Didier Jambart, who suffers from gambling and sex addiction.
This has been caused by the consumption of  this medicine that cures Parkinson’s disease.
On 28 November, the Court of Appeal in Rennes upheld the conviction of the pharmaceutical company.
The company will have to pay over €197,000 to Didier Jambart, who used Requip between 2003 and 2005.
The side effects of this drug made him suffer from compulsive gambling and “hypersexuality”, which led, in particular, to acts of exhibitionism on the Internet, to cross-dressing, to him being raped and, in eight occasions, to attempted suicide.
