ARJEL signs a partnership with UKGC
Last month, the French Regulatory Authority for Online Games (ARJEL) and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) started a collaboration, following the signing of a partnership agreement and an exchange of data.
The cooperation between the two organisations will permit to fight more effectively against both the problem of compulsive gambling and the proliferation of illegal websites, but also corruption, fraud and money laundering.
The European Commission has welcomed the agreement between these two regulatory authorities.
Moreover, the Commission has indicated that the objective in this area for the near future is that of achieving regulation at a European level.
On Tuesday, 28 June 2011, ARJEL had signed another partnership with the Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS), the Italian regulator, as described in this article.
