The people who took part in the study had to gamble before having their brains screened to measure any changes that might occur.
The study showed that subjects with a high degree of norepinephrine are not sensible to the risks of money loss. It has been demonstrated that the part of their brains where recompenses dynamics can be found neutralizes their perception of danger.
These conclusions will be an excellent starting point to develop in the next few years a treatment of compulsive gambling.
